Very clean bouquet with red berry fruits and cherries, earth, minerals and forest floor. On the palate good fruits like cherries, also some earth, juicy acidity and slightly drying tannin. A beautiful and elegant wine.
Spectacular. The masculine side of Chambolle. Wide open dark fruit and mineral nose. On the palate, there is crushed purple jammy berries, licorice, earth, and cinnamon. Excellent concentration but far from being over the top. Wow. Drinking well now but this should hold for a while. Drank along side the 2006 Vogue Chambolle, which was relatively closed and primary. The G-P was by far the better wine tonight. Both decanted and tasted over about four hours.
