Bottle opened, decanted, then poured half into a 375 ml bottle for enjoying next day. Tasted hot at first, but improved after an hour decant. Yet much better from the half bottle on the second day without further decanting. Clear, deep garnet red with no browning. Aroma of ripe Bing cherries on the nose with some leather and cedar. Delicious tasting ripe, yet tart, black cherry fruit with zesty acidity, a bit of kirsch, and some leather/cedar carrying into a nice long, dry finish. Very soft tannins with minimal bitterness. Had my doubts when first popped, but with some air time, I thoroughly enjoyed this 12-year old zin and am wishing I had more.

pretty good, no tannins, wine was wellintegrated, hadlively red fruit such as raspberry and red plums. We drank with grilled chicken on a veryHOT day and the alcohol content did not turn us off. I will have more of this tnow as i feel this was in agreat spot

This was pretty good, seemed to be from a cooler spot than some of Turley's other vineyards. Oak and berry nose. Cool toned blue and mineral flavors with moderate tannins and an ample acidity to keep it interesting. Longish finish.

Not the fruitfilled blockbuster that I remember, but a mild-mannered Turley that doesnt hold the same interest as the Pesenti and Dusi from the same vintage. Still it is enjoyable but not worth the price tag-for me.
