Kirsch bouquet. Drank very nicely for an hour or two before turning very tart and became, to my taste, undrinkable. Good underlying cherry fruit. Previous bottles were better, but still developed the tartness.
A garnet color with a hint of age at the rim. Classic forest floor of mushrooms, truffles and moss. On the palate the same with cherry notes and some sweet Oak. Very smooth. This particular bottle would have been great for at least several more years.
Deep ruby in color. Classic and expressive aromas of new saddle leather, crushed dark cherries, soy and spice on the nose. A finely etched wine follows through with silky sweet-tart cherry liquer, leather and tobacco with no evidence of oak, tannins and perfectly balanced fruit & acidity. A wow wine.
