Classic Rioja notes with a touch of modern fruit. By no means a LAN or Muga Prada Eneo, this delivers with class. Dark cherry, a hint of something like garrigue, and pine notes with oak that is present but not overwhelming. The only complaint is that it is a bit thin and the acidity becomes prominent somewhat quickly. Good stuff.
A bit of stable and maturity tones on the nose. Some sweet tannins on the attack. A lot of oak, mint and maturity tones on the mid palete. Dry finish with some bitter tannins. It has started to become a bit thin though, decant 2 hours and drink now.
No formal note. Smoky, leathery red and black berry fruit, vanilla notes. Medium/full bodied, intense, layered black cherry and strawberry fruit, vanilla, leather and smoke, soft tannins, fresh acidity, good length finish. Drinking well but may still be some improvement as the oak continues to integrate.
