Dark ruby color. Taut nose showing some red bing cherry, tight esrth, gravel and barn. Palate was very austere and rock focused. Very tight and showing no typical chambolle elegance or fruit. Red brick, tar, stone and touch of cherry and berry. Again very closed down. Tough to say if age will help development.
This wine is everything Chambolle-Musigny should be. Restrained and elegant. Slightly subdued dark red fruit with a light mineral note and flowery accent. Light palate, yet balance and mouth coating; good middle palate and decent finish. Just coming to its own but I would not rush it. Drank over two days and better on the second day.
