Fourth note since 2007 and first in 30 months. Still drinking well. Dark clear garnet with salmon edges. Not tasting old, but it has taken on a dusty quality to the tannins most apparent on the finish. Plenty of fruit remains, plums, cherry and dark berries, with a grippy dusty character not previously noted. But the pepper remains.
Very dark ruby color and rich mouth feel. Huge fruit and solid tannins. Much richer and deeper than expected. Cedar and forest floor underpins black raspberry and currant fruit. Some clove and allspice notes.
Garnet, bricking at rim, ripe rad cherry with developed thyme, cherry pips, touch of black pepper, ripe cherry with pronounced herbal notes, full bodied with medium acidity and soft tannin, toasty oak and stingy alcohol. Very good example of Grenache based wine, up there with most CdPs. Holding up nicely but at peak now I'd think
