Hugely aromatic, but a dead-ringer for Aussie Shiraz. Loads of eucalytus dominates the nose along with some licorice and blackberry. Med-full bodied, with tangy acidity, this has slightly gritty tannin and more eucalyptus on the palate. This is an odd one, to say the least. Lovers of Aussie wines would likely enjoy this wine, but it's a bit too much for me. 87

80& Grenache, 20% Syrah. Super deep garnet color in glass with faint bricking. Lovely bouquet. Lots of ripe fruit on palate and plenty of depth. Stylish. Light, drying tannins. Very appealing and slightly past peak. A classic Rasteau.

On first opening not much really is happening on either the nose or palate. Not the most concentrated wines, and there is enough tannin to mask the light fruits on opening. But with a bit of air the cherry fruits do emerge with silky tannins. Not an intense wine but elegant for its type but needs air to be appreciated.

At first there was no flavor at all. 4 hours later there is some pretty floral aspects and raspberry aromas coming through. A little raspberry flavor comes through but very dominated by gripping tannins. Letting this sit overnight and we'll see what happens. ($13)

Good - light, brick red, clear, lots of red fruit, soft tannin, decanted but drank straight away
