My impressions are the same as previously, most recently 5/14/18. Simply an outstanding CdP, which by the time we finished the bottle, it was probably at least a 94. Sadly, my last from this source of '05 Marquis

Still great, with pencil shavings on the nose, with fruit in the background. Perhaps some cinnamon as well on the nose. On the palate, this just sings "drink me" . I may finish a bottle over 2 hours since it is so enjoyable now. I don't consider it modern in style, IMHO, but it is delicious. I am buying a couple of cases of this.

Second Sunday Group: 2005 Chateauneuf-du-Pape (Barb's): Briary, peppery red fruit aromas turning medicinal. Adds cherry and red berry qualities. Flavors of pepper, cherry and boysenberry with a medicinal edge. Others found this more distracting than I, and found it in more of the wines than I. 89+ pts.
My #4, Domino's #1 Group #4, 54 pts

Classic CdP, a little barnyard on the nose, velvety on the palate. Glad to have six more
