Nice bottle, varietally correct, this showing was all about cranberry fruit (very distinctive), but with middle weight and not much depth. Improved to the published score over an hour and a half, so best to hold another 6 months to a year or let breathe in the decanter. The Ramsay was better it seemed, if simpler.
Blind tasting - filtered, bright, aroma of cherries, popsicle, black pepper, cranberry sauce, vanilla. Palate not as interesting - some fruit, medium tannins, mild acidity. Shows good varietal character, but could be clearer.
