overripe, apricot, a little acetone, almost sugar cane nose, with marmalade. Terrible pairing with smoked salmon as it brings out metallic flavors. A little bitter on the palate.

This bottle rather lively from the get go. Wet hay and summer squash on the nose. Aged golden colour and good legs. Soft and lubricating texture on initial palate. Burnt maple up the nose off the palate. More of veggie finish than fruit or citrus.

Time to drink. Marshmallow on the palate. An over the hill spicy aspect. Cold winter garage musty-ness. A bit of boiled meat as well. Second night in a proper Reidel glass, neutral nose with a spicy aromatic buttery nondescript palate and rich clean short finish. There's hope.
