  • 12 years old and what a fruit bomb. Incredibly dark and rich but hoping for more complexity (which may come with time). I think it's still find its balance. Will try again in 4 more years or so.

  • i like this wine a lot. Still drinking big, but smoothed out after decanting for 3 hours and having sit in glass for 30 minutes.

  • NICE! Since I can't recall tasting this previously, I can't say whether it is as good as a few years earlier. But the fruit is low key with secondary flavors and nuanced earthiness with a slight pepper hint. I still like it just think it is time to drink this edition up!

  • Three years since my last review of this wine, I find it has diminished quite a bit, probably from age, indicating it has passed its prime and is reaching the end of its drinking window. The fruits are starting to fall off and come across as uber ripe and raisiny fig, whereas previously I found the wine to be polished, full bodied, fruit forward with gripping body and tannins. This time, upon opening it was obtuse and a bit over the top with tones of smoke, tar and cassis overtaking the ripe berry fruits. It was most approachable two evenings after opening and started to subside the third evening, giving way to gripping firm tongue puckering tannins. At no time have I found this wine to be polished and balanced and harmonious or a fruit forward as the grand ratings suggest, or as with other highly rated labels of near vintages.

  • A Bit too concentrated too fulbodied. Great fruit as dark berries, cassis, milk chocolate, Not pepper, Not spicy, typical australian shiraz. I miss the complexity, i think it will stay at this Level 5-10 years but Not really improve. No difference to the First bottle two years ago. One more left, try it in 3 years. Long finish but with feelable alcohol.

(Mitolo Shiraz G.A.M.) The wine was over the top . kinky, luscious and superripe, a floozy in the presence of all these Bordeaux, yet still fascinatingly rich, kinky but modern. .If I wanted to be spanked by my wine,. someone reasoned. The wine got beat up a lot more than it should have, and I still found it excellent,
