Rich and deep on the nose with medicinal licorice and camp fire smoke. Well balanced tannins hold this wines structure for the 16 years it’s been aging elegantly in the bottle. Classic Sarah that would pair nicely with any high seared beef, pork or lamb. Don’t be afraid to drink it alone as it opens to blue/black fruit, pipe tobacco ash and baking spice. This complex yet elegant wine will have you begging for more when the bottle is empty! Get it while you can!

Took three days to open up and integrate. Did not like on day 1 or 2 -- too herbal and tannic. Tempted multiple times to pour down the drain. By third day it became lush, full bodied, smoky wine with dark fruits and smooth finish.

Definitely on the way down, so drink up. Still some good flavors, but getting flabby. Noticeably different from a little over a year ago.

Good depth to the flavors, maybe going a hair pruny. Definitely on the downhill side, but ok drinking still.

A bit drying on the finish but interesting on the nose.
