The 2001 de Vogue declassified Musigny Blanc is opulent and somewhat lactic and a touch cheesy. Lots of retained freshness for a 20 year old white! Plenty of tree fruits, apricot yogurt and a touch of green almond. Creamy texture with fine acidity. 1er cru intensity, structured and full bodied. Slightly cheesy on the finish. (88/100)

Interesting to see this so shortly after the 1999; this is very different, apperaring very young, light, almost Chablis-like, vibrant, tight with a firm acidity and lively, stony fruit. #PB#Jean-Luc

bright and good depth. holds up very well over two hours. Slightly less acidity than I would have expected for the vintage. very clean, no oxidation at all.

(Domaine Comte Georges de Vogüé Bourgogne Blanc) Light medium golden color; oxidized, hazelnut, buttered rum nose; mature tasting butter, butter rum and ripe citrus palate; short-medium finish
(Domaine Comte Georges de Vogüé Bourgogne Blanc) Very light yellow color; lovely floral, white flower, honeysuckle, "hue" (Vietnamese herb that's like a blend of fennel and basil), lime sherbet nose; gorgeous, refined, lusciousness, with a palate of light citrus and lime, perfect acidity; medium finish 95+ pts. (much better than the pre-moxed version I'd had a few months back)
(Domaine Comte Georges de Vogüé Bourgogne Blanc) Light medium yellow color; vanilla oak with some premox on nose; tart mineral and lemon palate showing some premature oxidation; medium finish
