A bit of an odd, "funky" aroma, perhaps of fungus or mushrooms, although I don't think it was corked. Rich plummy flavors with velvety texture and very soft tannins. Quite fruit-forward, even though it's getting on in years. Rich mouth-feel. A good pairing with pasta al forno.

Fruity and yeasty nose, slight banana. Bright acidity, tart cherries. Clean finish, hint of floral. A bit out of balance with too much acid. Nicely paired with pasta and roasted tomato sauce.

S liked this one more than I did. Definitely sour and bright cherry, it calmed down after a while and was more enjoyable as a light wine.
