Decanted for about 40 mins. Rich cassis on the nose with blood and iron, very delicious. The palate has good acidity, plenty of tannins and elegant red fruit, not powerful but well-poised. Seems to be at its peak now, excellent!
Red and black berry, black pepper, anise, some liqueur hints. Well balanced with good length, just not much nuance. A great value wine that is drinking so nicely now and probably for another 3-5 years.
Black and red fruit with plenty of secondary character over the top. Lots of leather, spice and meaty notes. Still plenty of tannin and high acid. Still best with food. This has a decent amount of complexity to it and is well balanced. Considering the cost of this wine, it's excellent. Pleased I have a few more!
