The wine has a fabulous nose dominated by tar and smokey fireplace laying atop bright cherry. On the palate, the fruit was rich and bright up front followed by a darker earthy stage and finished with clean acidity. The only drawback being a slightly bitter oak tannin that lingered on the finish.
