WIMPs Lunch- dark garnet, red fruit nose, well balanced, medium long finish with a touch of sweet, this wine had good structure of the vintage, stuffing. Really enjoyed and this wine will continue to evolve

Lovely pale rose centre with clear rim; nose of summer fruits & herbs. Initially closed but opened out well over lunch. Not a stunner but a decent, well-made wine.

Decanted 3 hours served at 14C. Brilliant, dark red with garnet reflections and some bricking at rim. Nose was multi-leveled with dark red fruits predominating but could also detect some wet stone notes, tobacco and leather. Entry and attack were silky smooth with a very pleasant build to a full, balanced mouthful of red fruits supported by fine tannins. Finish was long and balanced. Overall this is a refined wine with good balance and I am sure could be drunk many years into the future. While it had a better nose and overall balance than the 1999 Domaine de la Vougeraie Pommard Les Petits Noizons with which we drank it my feeling is the Pommard represents better value and would be a wine I would like to come back to in 5 years. Still, this Morey St. Denis has alot to like about it. 50+5+12+17+9=93.
