  • I am a piglet in mud. Just got the last case of this on sale in Australia on wine-searcher.com. Heroic dark colour. Heroic deep complex multilayered nose - I reckon' I can still detect oak after 25 years BUT that can't be possible, what gives? Elevated blackberry , I can nose this all night. What words to describe? Majestic, robe of power, alive, dense, penetrating, blackberry pastille, kaleidescope, core of iron strength, drying tannin on the back palate that makes it a must for the table. I'm not sure words do justice to this or at least I'm struggling. Has to be in the top echelons of red wine produced in this country. I'm guessing 20-30 years of life left but Jesus just drink it!

  • OMG Freddie, this is divine. Just a real hero wine that defines what Aussie cabernet/shiraz blend should aspire to. 24 years young and just massive fruit present with blackberry notes and deep complexity. Finishes long and clean. Wish I had a case of this. will last but as thge tastr said ,why wait? Just grab yourself some wagyu, a bbq and a friend and enjoy the fruits of nature.

  • Drinking beautifully but I don’t see any benefit to waiting

  • At 20 years old this commands respect. The cork crumbled but the aroma from the decanter was rich and glorious. The fruit - perfectly- intact.

About 2 hours this still hasn't peaked. Suggest 4 hours of breathing and wanting and waiting.

The acidity of the linear cabernet like an arrow into the broad enveolping shiraz that awaits is just a destiny fulfilled.

Rich yet razor like. Seductive femme fatale. More more more.

  • Very barossa fragrance of ripe berry and saddle. A significant fraction of cabernet kept this from being a complete fruit bomb as well. Still big and beginning to shed its tannins, it is on the early plateau of maturity. Drink over the next 10 years or so. Classy and not overblown.
