Very disappointing for a wine this expensive. I am finding that all of the Arista Pinots have a very short life. Drank this side by side with a 2005 Mononi and, while it was better than the Mononi, there isn't much left. Showed a little promise when first opened with some spice notes, but quickly faded. Drink it now.

Not a tremendous amount of fruit, but otherwise a full journey through the stages with some spices and cola, then some slight oakiness and finishing with a bit of pepper. Good balance and a light acidity that makes it a very food friendly wine. Glad I have another couple of bottles to try with different pairings.
11/11/09 Hmm, seems almost a different wine this time. Still noted the balance and food friendliness, but the middle stages were something I didn't find at all. My notes say this isn't one of Mark's better efforts. Perhaps it's just past its prime now.
10/16/10 Notes more closely matched the first set. Light amounts of black cherry and blackberry fruit. Flavor profile stronger in the cola and spice area, along a with very nice amount of oakiness. Good balance of acidity and tannins. Great with a meal of Mediterranean flavors. Second bottle must have been a little corked and I just didn't pick up on the mustiness.

COLOR: Medium Red NOSE: Red Fruits, Full Complex nose TASTE: Light Elegant Tannins that glide along throughout the palette, peppery on the finish. Tasted at a tasting party, sorry of the limited notes. This was the star of the night, I would absolutely seek this out, This tasting was not decanted, I am sure this would open up in a hour or two.

Sheer elegance in a bottle, on your nose, and in your mouth. Full bodied with silky tannins, the wine exudes flavours of black cherries and plum with a nuance of oak, spice, and savory herb. There is an underlying earthiness that suggests this Pinot Noir will go great with mushroom, lamb, and winter vegetable dishes

Nice Bottle age. Juicy acid on entry. Silky light body. Lovely pale translucent color.
