Very dark and heavy looking. Open nose of liqourice, jam, wood. Full bodied and sweet on the palate. Some acidity and tannins to back up the high glycerine and alcohol of 15% (!) but it remains a clumsy wine, not unlike the horrible Amarone wines in terms of sweetness and heavyness.
Dark red, almost blackish --- Nose fine stream of flowers and cherry, licorice, nice tar aspects, vapour of elegant wood notes, cedar notes, licorice very present --- Palate fresh, acidic, medium to full body, licorice aspects remind me of licorice wheel candy, some sweetness, some char coal, minerality, earthy tones, black tea --- Finishes on fading licorice cherry mix, minerality and some bark. While degusting and writing the vine becomes more interesting. The vine is somewhat powerful like a big wave while its flavours are carried by the spume. Excellent vine, matured, still fresh, cativating, power and finesse.
