Somewhat reticent nose of stone fruit. Nice spritzy lively mouthfeel that surprises me at this age. Finish is long, but fairly generic peaches and apricot pits, and comes across as a Feinherb level of sweetness. Very rare that I find a wine where the mid palate is the most attractive feature, but this seems to be an example of one.

This bottle shows a bit more concentration of flavors than the one some weeks ago adding more tropical fruit flavors. There is no positive evolution to be expected. If there are any bottles in the cellars, they should be consumed early.

Deep golden colour. The nose is restrained first. It developes flavors of chamomille, peach, bacon, stewed banana. Enough acidity to balance the sweetness. Though fully mature it needs a little bit time to blossom up. Maybe it is past his prime.

Full, slightly golden, yellow colour, a bit of spritz. Nose with ripe yellow fruit including peach and some tropical fruit, some citrus notes including zest, a bit of honey, some flowery notes, hints of minerality and development. Off-dry (perhaps "semi-sweet" is a better description, since the feeling is Auslese rather than Spätlese), citrus, mixed yellow fruit notes including tropical fruit, good acidity, a bit of spicy notes, and fruity and slightly spicy aftertaste. A slight alcoholic note (the label says 11.5%) makes itself present mid-palate and lingers in the aftertaste. It isn't at all disturbing, but it makes this wine seem less like a German Riesling (which it isn't). The balance on the palate reminds me a bit of an Alsatian Vendange Tardive. Comes across as fully developed and while it isn't at all tired, it might have been more interesting some years ago, 89 p.

Wineflock - Rieslings from Anywhere, Anytime (David's): Group #6, My #6 - Medium yellow color with a green hint. Another spicy lychee gewurtz nose here - but rich and more petrol with white peach accents. Big full sweet spicy perfumed white fruit with a hint of bitter on the finish.
