Decanted and consumed over 2hrs. After 15 minutes unpleasant volatile nose dissipates but after that nose and palate shows old red wine characters with some Coonawarra intact .. a shame but well passed its prime

Amazed this is still going but its drinking beautifully, lovely balance of red fruits, aromatic wood, black plumbs, leather, bordeaux style finish, amazing, drink up before it fades this must surely be at its best.

This was a present from a friend, and I knew it hadn't been cellared well, so wasn't expecting too much from the bottle. It turned out to be a ripper. For a 15 year old wine, this is in fine shape. Some nice spice on the nose, but the palate really shines - dark fruit, cassis, spice and still some tannins lingering - its all in good balance. Beautiful drinking now, but should still last a few years yet. Another great example of the cellaring potential for Zema wines, which are a bargain.

nose; vegetal, bay, smokey, tobacco, cabbage, light red fruits, very bordeaux like, taste; good structure, fruit developing, great balance fruit and wood, blackcurrant building, long flavours, outstanding, 92+
