Legends of the Spring 2018 (Portland, Oregon house of TW and AW): Light red with ethereal nose of frangipani and roses showering the olfaction. Fading structure giving way to secondary balanced, sweet red current compote, expanding exponentially like a never-ending rainbow of sun-dried rose hips. In a word-terrific and clearly worth the price of admission! (now-2034)

Lovely moderate red color with slight bricking. Initially light nose grew stronger over an hour. Red fruit dominated nose and palate with a light, ethereal quality. Very smooth, silky, and integrated but around a core of big flavor and an amazing, nuanced, long, long finish and a touch of acidity. Probably peaked at three hours. Beautiful PN!

4th Saturday Group brown bagger (Mike & Cyndi's): Due to cork trouble, this was served from a decanter. To this point, it had been decanted for about an hour. Deep ruby color. Aromas of iron, red currants, forest floor and cherry. Medium-bodied, with good acidity and flavors of red fruit, cherry and forest floor. Firm; youthful. Guessed Oregon Pinot. 90-91 pts.
By the time dinner was served- maybe three hours after the wine was first opened- this had opened up a bit more on the palate, featuring cherries, earth and florals with a nice mineral streak. Drink now-2017. 92-93 pts.

Developing some nice secondary aromas. Cherries, spice and complexity on the palate. Very nice mouthfeel and depth. Still some dust tannins on the backend...Excellent wine and not at it apogee imo.

Spinning capsule. Cork crumbled a bit on removal. Totally shot.
