Ripe, concentrated, high alcohol pinot (14.8%). 2017 was apparently a hot year in Sonoma. It is still quite delicious (strawberries, raspberries, black cherries - the fruit is outstanding), but the high alcohol really shows too much for my taste. It didn't pair so well with my food, I think due to the burning finish. Good acidity despite the heat. Tannins were not noticeable. Next time I'll decant to see if some of the burn blows off.

A nose of some cherry and spice, garnet in color. A medium bodied red, with cherry, raspberry, some spice on finish, expected more. www.winelx.com

This is similar to my 2021 bottle, except I'm not loving the fruit on this one - it seems a bit astringent and cooked to me tonight.
