Screwcap. Petrolly on the nose and palate, which also shows flavours of lime juice and mineral water. Good strong structure, and popular with the rest of the table, but I found the petrol note overwhelming.
I last had this 4 years ago and it doesn't seem to have evolved at all since then. There is good extract here and a classic limes/grapefruit, petrol and slate profile. Intense, dry and austere. Try again in another 4 years...
Rich, waxy lime and grapefruit perfume is most pronounced on the nose but herbal undergrowth and a charred, smokey character are lurking in the background, topped off with classic petrol fume aromas. This is oily, fleshy and softened with a not unsubtle oaky texture but the finish returns a swathe of citrusy vitality that shows that this is going to last for a long while yet. ****
