Nose: grass, apricots, initially a little underwheliming, but opened up a bit TAste: immediatly noticable acidity, vibrant with citrisy- almost orange/tangerine through the midpalate, the finish has lemon drops (the non-sour candy) on the finish and the alcohol becomes a bit much on the finish. The finish lasts a long time with acidity with a nice lemon aspect that pairs marvolously with food, but alone is a bit lacking with fruit on the finish. Later on there is almost an almond frosting component through the midpalate. A pretty complex but vibrant white wine that looses something for me on the finish.

RS sticks out like a sore thumb. Simple beeswax and clover on its own but, with food, a spicy finish adds a twist in the mouth. America's reputation for producing third-rate Chenin is clearly unfair; this is wine is second-rate, or "frivolous," as the producer cheerily admits on the back label.
