Last bottle of half a case, drunk over about 4 years. Dark purple, no real signs of age in the color. A bit of barnyard mixed in with the lucious dark fruit on yhe nose - it is Syrah, after all. The tannins have softened, and the wine was nicely balanced and complex - it has aged rather well. This would stand up to quite a few northern Rhones.
Took about 30-45 to open up, but still has some life in it. Classic Novy SLH - lots of fruit up front and then a mellow easy drinking syrah on the back side. On the downslope, so drink em up quickly if you have any, but won't disappoint.
