(Barnett Cabernet Sauvignon Spring Mountain) #4 (BLIND TASTING) ; VaynerPAZZZ; COLOR-very dark; NOSE-much more candy-esque; very heavy raspberries meets cassis; big bold red fruit; little orange peel as well; very seductive nose; TASTE-good firm tannins on this wine, but a little basic to me; good fruit coming through (dark cherry; raspberry), but gobbled up by a little too much oak; textbook $20 Cab; kind of boring (good fruit and nothing else); some nice soft tannins on the back-end, but a lack of mid-palate; WS-91; GV-84

Wow - 17 years and this is still a fruit bomb. Massive jammy raspberry, red and black cherries along with menthol. Lots of vanilla and oak notes and plenty of tertiary aromas of chocolate, cigar box and tobacco leaf. Still has plenty of acid and tannin to keep going a while. Surprised this is showing this well after this many years.
