Thin little waif of a red wine, the nose is strongly strawberry, slight cinnamon: thin body with red fruit, ever so slight pepper, slight but balanced earth and oak. Good, unobtrusive French red which to me means it would go with lots of food; for this bootle, beef bourgignone of course. I have had Beaujolais with more body.
Savigny Les Beaunes: Beautiful rich nose. Lots of cherries, but with some depth and earthiness. In the mouth, light and acidic with raspberry flavors. The nose on this was a real tease, with the palate being a bit of a let down.
