This was really cool. PnP, served from bottle after standing for a week and it needed that given the fine sediment.
Expressive from the start, and even held up on to day #2, fending off oxidation like an old stalwart. The wine is near completely tertiary, but with great interest and nary a flaw. Notes of saddle leather and library dominate, with some baked fruit. It’s rather glorious at this stage, but can’t really imagine improvement from here.

Awesome nose. Super complex with notes of anise, peppermint, juicy fruit, red licorice, mushrooms, pine sap, cinnamon, pine needles, and dried flowers. There was some bacon, lavender and mushroom with more air. This wine had a very juicy sensation in the mouth as if the wine exploded on the palate.

(Hanzell Pinot Noir) Group's #5 (my #4) – 103 pts.; 4, 0, 1, 2 – mushroomy mature strawberry nose; tart, mature red fruit, with Balsamic and tangy undertones, good acid; dry short-medium finish (like a mature tart Pommard; showing advanced maturity for its age though)

Dried cherries, leather, tart, glad I'm drinking it now. I think it is 5 years over due.

Client Luncheon Tasting.
Darkest color, fruity nose and fruity finish, needs 3 years age.
My #1 of 3.
