(Decanted for one hour, but should’ve been two hours or more) Deep red colour with a maturing nose showing liquorice, oak, hip roses and some truffles with added time in the glass. Austere tannins on the palate with dried herbs and a bitterness on the finish. This feels a bit disjointed and suffering from the warmth of the vintage. (Probably best 2013-2023)

Brickred colour. Nice nose showing black berries, dried herbs and some notes of wood. Still nice austere tannines with a fiery fruityness and a nice long finish. Performing very nicely right now, but should cellar for several more years. The warm vintage is showing in the jammy and fiery palate.

2003 Piedmont Party (Troy & Gina's): Hands down the best Barbaresco of the evening, in my opinion. This was the perfect example of why some call Barbaresco the "Queen" to Barolo's "King." It was feminine and linear, with a wonderfully delicate and perfumed nose. The body was medium and full of red fruits kissed with brown sugar and molasses. The finish was long and tannic.
I very much enjoyed this wine.

Nice cherry flavor, nose was weak, but the length was very good. Still strong tannins and the wine would hold for more years. Not so much fruit, though...
