Drank over two days, with the first showing a wine that's in its final, graceful days. Medium-bodied, not much bricking (but a LOT of sediment), the tertiary notes here emphasize black truffle, soil, and old leather; only a few notes as to anything fruit or flower related. But (and you knew there had to be a 'but'), on day two, the final glass, the leather and soil are met by notes of citrus, tree bark, red floral, thyme, and berry incense; still a fair amount of tannic grip, and acids still quite perky. In fact, the more air this gets, the more it comes alive - almost from the dead, but not quite. An exercise with many valuable lessons, and one I look forward to repeating. That said, it's not getting better from here, so if you have some, drink now, before the fruit is dried out. I'll be sure to aerate the next bottle for at least 2 hours in decanter. 13,5% abv, great fill, TONS o'sediment. recommended
Nose of black fruit, a bit muted, not particularly Chianti signature on the nose... Taste is black fruit, nice concentration, but pretty one dimensional taste, lacking a bit complexity... no faults, but not great!

consistent with the bottle of two years ago, definitely in its sunset years. Elegant lines, med+ finish. Drink now. recommended

Good. Oakey fruit on the nose. Red fruit, tar, tang, slight tannins, good finish. Drink now.
