  • Slightly muddy pale orange/vermillion core of moderate intensity out to a red edge and thin watery rim - wine appears youthful. A clean nose of moderate intensity with rosemary and sage, licorice, fresh fruit (raspberries and red cherries), minerals and a faint clay earthy dustiness with a dusting of cocoa and a hint of alcohol. Moderate bodied with moderate acids (surprising for the year), moderate alcohol and moderate but firm tannins. Flavours of cherry, green pepper and herbs. Well balanced but has a slight hole on the mid palate. The tannins get more expressive with each sip. The finish is moderate in length (already) with noticable tannins and some heat from the alcohol. A very interesting wine - very well balanced and very much a young Bordeaux. Drinking well now but will age nicely for 8 years.
