Good blueberry nose. This has come a long way in the months since I had it last. Nice dark fruits- blueberries, currants, disintegrates a bit on the finish, and a bit thin-bodied. Update: Hour two: wow, this has really opened up into something lush, juicy, and with mouthwatering acidity. I really am enjoying.

decanted for 1 hr. not much on the nose, slight hint of berry but not much else. fairly nice and smooth, albeit still a bit hot. good dark fruit, medium body. solid effort.

A fair bit of heat on the nose and the palate initially although it did subside a bit while sitting in the glass over a few hours although it never really seemed to integrate into the wine. Dark and fruit forward although thin on the palate for my tastes

Dark, almost black, slightly murky plum colour. Opaque. Odd plump little legs. Rather acidic nose, almost a bit vinegary, and a bit of red fruit.
Much fruitier and smoother, but still a good dose of acid. A fair bit of alcoholic heat and some nicely structured tannins. Medium bodied. Body and tannin wise, it's more like a Cab - big - but the flavour of lighter fruit and more acid is all Merlot, and rather youthful - this would benefit from some cellaring.
Hot, somewhat sharp aftertaste, but not unpleasant. Sort of warming, like whiskey. I think decanting would be good too, because this could induce major coughing if consumed too rapidly. It's a bit rough around the edges.
91% merlot, 9% cabernet sauvignon 14.1% ABV

Very nice medium bodied merlot. Enjoyed it with a steak topped with a homemade spicy asian sauce.
