Medium golden straw. Gorgeous, "proper" riesling nose. wet paving stones with a touch of spilled petrol and deep lime, almost verging on grapefruit. A touch of ambergris? Good attack. Showing no signs of being over 15 years old. Vibrant, fairly fresh riesling fruit with gentle minerality and a fairly gentle acidity. Very clean, but developing a waxy texture on the finish, making it very mouthcoating after, and exceedingly long. Not the world's most earth-shattering riesling, but very enjoyable. Drinking well, but no rush to drink up any remaining bottles.

Very lovely riesling, in line with Andrew Stevenson's email. Mrs felt it was a bit too old, but I didn't think so - and that probably reflects her preference for younger wine and aversion to any oxidative notes at all (though it's not oxidised!). I enjoyed this a lot.

1/2. Pale/med straw. Developed, fumey nose - petrol, smoke, mineral with underlying lime/orange fruit. Medium bodied, nice oily texture, petrol then lime coming through, light creamy edge, vibrant acidity, not hugely complex but a decent length finish. Drinking well and showing no sign of decline, this should be good for at least another 5 years.

Very pale straw. Slight petroleum nose as it warms. Nice balance, but just lacking a bit of oomph. Suspect slightly past best, though still enjoyable. Drink up

Golden, shot with green. Bit of petrol, tons of citrus, mainly lime. Great acidity. Rich, full bodied. Clean as a bell. Absolutely classic, in a medium rich sort of way. Lovely.
