Very ripe strawberries on the nose, tight and not a very interesting nose. The taste is a bit better. The strawberries are more pleasant and the fruit is all over OK. Even for a PN I think this is thin and lacks power and the capability to stand out from the crowd.

Some smoke/matchstick on the nose. The barnyard aromas blew off rather early in the evening. palate: Robust fruit accompanied by burnt earth, with mildly sweet tannin and very smooth body. I would definitely drink this again.

Pop and poured a taste then recorked remaining for 2 hrs. Flavor and aroma profile really open up after 2-3 hrs dominated by cherry and strawberry and a good dose of acidity on the finish that fades to a bit of unresolved tannin suggesting some improvement in store for those who wait.

Great Burgundy quaffer, but underperformer for the price
