A deep, dark purple with a slight edge maturity, blackberries, black currants, milk coffee, leather and oak on the nose. On the palate, juicy, medium consistency, delicious, sweet and yet with supporting acidity, with lots of ripe silky soft tannins, who needed a little more time to breathe, long dark berrier final with coffee along behind, still has a couple of great years ahead of him.

It was dark and very berry tasting. Enjoyed it with a thick ribeye.

Vineyard Gate: Overachieving Millennium 2000 Bordeaux (Millbrae, CA): Bright red fruit nose with a hint of cedar. Good mid-palate attack, fresh acidity and moderate complexity. Maybe needs just another year or two. Not fascinating, but a nice expression.
