4th Saturday Brown Bagger (R&C's): Dark crimson color. Vanilla and plum aromas with a subtle grapefruit note too. Firm tannins; flavors of black fruit and vanilla. The oak really dominates this wine right now. No guess.
Opened 4 hours before dinner but not decanted. Poured alongside some 2005 Right Bank wines. Purple ruby color. Crushed grape skin and wet stone nose. Sweet tannins. Notes of coffee beans, plums and raw cocoa. Medium to full bodied. Rich mouthfeel. Still going strong. 93-94 points.
