From 75cl, perfect cork. Decanted. Impenetrable, almost black colour. Liquorice, damsons with cinnamon and graphite scent. Well-balanced entry with bright acidity; grippy, slightly tired blueberry juice/redcurrant-pip mid-palate; tannic/sweet finish. This has slimmed down and dried out over the last 2 years (I prefered it young and buff). In middle age this is starting to resemble a tough Priorat (Vall Llach?) Will keep for a few years. It all depends what you like. 90P(?)
From 75cl, dry but intact cork. Decanted and consumed over 2 hours, over which time an initially brutally closed, tannic, rough ugly duckling developed into a superb, fragrant masterpiece (if not, yet, quite a swan). Gorgeous aroma of dark, ripe, blue fruit, super-high-quality rumtopf with a fresh lifted quality; entry slightly squeaky on the tannin front, but rapidly subsumed by a lovely ripe blueberry liqueur mid-palate and a palate led with dry tannin but flanked with super blue-black fruit of remarkable persistence. A definite notch up from the basic Acustic, good for another 5-10 years, and a steal at 25€ retail. 92P
