I want to like more as this is an interesting and unique wine. Pungent cheese aroma and port-like taste. This definitely needs a 90 minute decanting and gets better over time.

I knew how to prepare this time and it was an excellent complement for a chili dinner. The wine was decanted for 90 minutes and consumed with the food. It opens up nicely with rich dark berries and powerful presence. Much better than drinking on own without decanting.

Big boy. Black pepper, barnyard, and over-ripe black plums. Chewy, angular, and masculine. Long tannic finish following a big core of red fruit and spice. Not sure it completely came together. Lots of tension and some rough edges but right for the type. Stood up to hot Italian sausage over chard, rhubarb and mustard seeds.

strong, busy wine, but didn't settle down well. It was palatable only after being open an hour, which is something I need to remember with the other 11 bottles I have left.

From 75cl, perfect cork. Decanted. Impenetrable, almost black colour. Liquorice, damsons with cinnamon and graphite scent. Well-balanced entry with bright acidity; grippy, slightly tired blueberry juice/redcurrant-pip mid-palate; tannic/sweet finish. This has slimmed down and dried out over the last 2 years (I prefered it young and buff). In middle age this is starting to resemble a tough Priorat (Vall Llach?) Will keep for a few years. It all depends what you like. 90P(?)
