Still drinking well, its lost much of the youthful jammy-ness as you would expect but its been replaced by a fruitful mouthful of darker fruit. Good acidity and tannin balance. Ready to go but you don't need to be in a hurry.
Quite dark transparent garnet color, with just a slight tinge of brown. Concentrated berry fruit nose, spice, and oak wood. Alcohol is noticeable at 15.3. Lightens up a little with some air time. Tastes of concentrated dark, jammy cooked berry fruit with strong strawberry note but still with a good tartness level, and with an earthiness and an oak and clove-like spicy finish. Not for the faint of heart, this is a bruiser of a Zin, deep, dark, tart, rich, jammy, spicy, and high alcohol.
