Very fruity. Hints of chocolate, plum, mixed berry. Great stand alone wine. I tried to pair with braised beef. Once I introduced the food, I felt it brought out a very acidic quality to the wine. I sampled with semi sweet chocolate as well. While with chocolate, it tasted better than the braised beef, but neither compared to a fresh pallet. I remember really enjoying this wine ~4 years ago with a buffalo wing pizza. My suggestion is to enjoy this flavorful wine on its own without food. That is where it really shines.

Drank with Val and her parents. Vibrant purple color. Aromas of plum, rose petal and a distinct brown sugar smell. Medium- acid and dusty tannins provide a weak backbone for the cherry sauce, fig paste and red licorice flavors. Hints of chocolate on the finish. Seems like time has tamed this a bit, but now that some of the jammy fruit has faded it seems a bit tired. Drink now if you've got them.

Very grapey. Concord. Other than that, decent, but I liked this better 2 years ago.
