I did not like this at first opening - hot, boiled plum, unbalanced. (It was a gift from a realtor and the bottle probably had not been stored properly and also needed time to breath). It improved later that evening and the next day—dark fruit, earth, raw meat.
Great spicy bouquet. Viscous taste with major heat and a hint of fruit. After about an hour in the glass it started showing more fruit. I assume by tomorrow it will open up even more as the alcohol blows off. Could have stayed in the cellar another few years.
