This was second bottle of these I’ve had, served tonite in a flight of 05,06,14,18,19,20. The 06 and 05 were so similiar however the 05 was slightly better on the finish and gave it a slight more edge in the head to head.

Decanted for 5 hours. The colour is still youthful, with a touch of purple; with air, the wine opens up to provide, elegant, creamy, blackcurrant fruit, quite intense and with good length. Can be drunk now but is probably 5 to 10 years from its peak.

Seems at the beginning of maturity, with fresh notes of currant and blackberry, tertiary notes of loamy earth, and tannins that give the finish persistence. Definitely a long life ahead.

Still dark red and very cabernet nose (even slightly new world) but lacking a bit of flesh on the taste - a bit underwhelming and quiet. Relatively austere - dry tannins
