  • Aouch...

  • Drinking well now, much more integrated than last bottle. Still has freshness and loads of delicious fruit.

(Chateau Pesquie Quintessence) #1; COLOR-dark; NOSE-heavy blackberry; some mulberry; very floral (violets); very fresh; TASTE-this is extremely good and extremely fresh; it has a GREAT mid-palate; dark chocolate and green pepper on the transition flavor and then on the secondary end I get really ripe cassis and blackberries; really dark and complex flavors on the back-end; great length; great finish; makes me think, "Wow, this would rival many $35-$40 CdP's, but a little more New World than those"; what I like it that this gives me New World weight and explosiveness like we see in Spain and Australia, but has much more balance and gives an obvious picture of the terroir; I get chocolate covered bluestone (a nice minerality) w/ a little black pepper; many would love this; it has the stability, complexities and dimension for multiple wine drinkers; this has a lot of Old World love but a lot of fresh fruit and pizzazz and charisma that New World fans would enjoy; this is the PERFECT red wine with food; a definite "buy"; RP-91; GV-90+
