70% Touriga Nacional + Touriga Franca & Tinta Roriz, aged 9 mos in new FR oak casks of 350 and 400 lts; 13.0% ABV, 4.90 g/l T.A., & 3.63 pH.
N: Slightly closed; Iron when first poured, going more towards earthiness with increased air; Intensity lurking?
P: LM body; LOVELY, almost swtish frt firmed by a mature structure which slowly evolves into a LONG, very, VERY slightly tangy/swt, BALANCED finish with a swtish tinge to the remaining very, VERY fine tannins. Drinking BEAUTIFULLY right now, & should hold a couple of yrs more. My EXC/EXC+. 93 pts Jamie Goode, 88 WS, 17.5/20 Jancis Robinson, & 13.5/20 El Mundo Vino.

Monthly Tasting Group HWS #126; Portugal (By AW and @ AW): Beautiful bouquet with juicy ripe blackberries and other dark berries, sweet spices and vanilla. On the palate juicy black and ripe berries, black olives, leather and tobacco, sweetness, beautiful sweet spices and acidity, round and soft tannin. This is a beautiful and completely ready, delicious wine with still a lovely and soft bite, so it can last a few more years as well. Just great and without any sharp edges.

Really colour, just turning garnet at the rim, but still purple at the core. Definitely tertiary cigar box and cedar on the nose, maybe just a hint of baking spice. Palate just lacks a tiny bit of body, but otherwise a lovely red cherry fruit, clove, nutmeg, silky, silky tannin. Very nice.
