First taste was suprisingly crisp, but that sharpness faded quickly. Delicious wine, but seems like it is fading somewhat. Lychee fruit and some brown butter / toffee notes. Great mouthfeel. Backend is much more interesting that first tastes.
Light golden color. Floral aromas with flavors of melon, lychee, and some sweet honeyed apple. Mineral quality. Really nice wine with a big body but not overpowering. Aging well and should continue to develop complexity. Worth going back for more at $22 from a local wine store. Tasted as part of Winodepots April 2006 Tasting With Friends.
