This is really evolving nicely, in fact this was by far my favorite bottle of this wine to date. I used to think the 2002 was a notch or two below the 2001, but it seems to be playing catch-up. Balanced, complex, weightless on the palate.

Wow, is this drinking well right now. I was expecting it to be decent, but it's damn good! Still a tad spritzy on opening, with big peach and lime flavors and nice balance of acid. It's going to be nice to have the next nice day in Seattle

(Leitz "Dragonstone") With a new snappy label this wine is an incredible QPR! I prefer it over the 2001. Red berry fruits, minerals, chalk, white flowers on the nose which seems very ripe. On the palate layers of red plums, raspberries, white peaches all framed by out of this world acids. Lots of baby fat but utterly charming and almost hedonistic.

A bit more muted than previous bottles, but still a fine riesling.
