Tasted by Virtualk on 7/28/2009 & rated 88 points: Got a couple of these from my father in law a year or two ago. Just opened the first one. Fruit on the nose of currants and plum. Very little tannin at this point, but its there. Great flavor. I drank the glass with some 72% chocolate and found them a perfect pair. I'm gonna sit on the other bottle for another year or so and see what happens. Great value. (838 views)

Not a bad finish about 15 seconds just a LITTLE bit hot. Not too shabby for $10. I've enjoyed this and wish I had some more. (1339 views)

Tasted by payneclay on 12/6/2007 & rated 90 points: (2188 views)
Tasted by EMcc on 11/13/2007 & rated 86 points: Solidly OK. Definitely needs at least an hour or two of air. Good acidity balance for this blend & alcohol level. Good nose once the alcohol blows off. Would have expected more tannins. This one's ready to go now and will be fine for the next couple of years. (2769 views)

About Red Wines

WineAmerica (National Association of American Wineries) | Free the Grapes!
California Wines (Wine Institute of California)

California is one of the most diverse wine regions in the world, with almost 100 grape varieties grown in over 100 viticultural areas, including dozens of different microclimates and soil types, as well as a very individualistic set of winemakers, many with international experience, which adds to and deepens that diversity.
The North Coast American Viticultural Area (AVA) in California, covering more than three million acres, includes Napa, Sonoma, Mendocino and Lake counties, and portions of Marin and Solano counties. (see The Wine Institute for more information)
