From Magnum. Opened 2 hours in advance. Beautiful nose with red and black berries, some peony, cedar, soft leather, dusty closet and sweet spice. Finely integrated tannins, balanced acidity, with lingering aftertaste. Very good!

A peculiar position to post one point below the revered JL, but the onset of redcurrant as a secondary note was not expected. Pleasant enough, but is that a high enough platitude? Think we could strive harder. Perfect though for Tuesday supps.

Medium-bodied, red currant, cedar, herb, leaf oriented wine with a slight rusticity to the tannins with a crisp edge to the red fruits and herbs in the finish along with a touch of dust in the classically-styled backend that is fully ready to go. Drink from 2023-2031.

Drinking beautifully right now. Good nose of dark fruits and tobacco. Full bodied with a medium finish. Drink up within the next 5 to 7 years.

A few years since I've had one of these, and can't help thinking it feels a little tired. Lovely tertiary notes, but feeling a little brittle now.
