(Château Carbonnieux) Dark red violet color; nice berry, blackberry, plum nose with depth; soft berry, blackberry and black fruit palate; medium-plus finish

(Chateau Carbonnieux Pessac-Léognan) Attractive, open, well-defined fruit. Appealing. Round, plump, a middleweight. Firm tannins, a touch austere, firm, extracted, good acidity too. This certainly has appeal. It is fresher and certainly superior to the white.
